I just wanted to take a minute and type about the sudden passing of Akira Toriyama... I still haven't come to grips with it... He will be very, sorely missed... His works were a worldwide phenomenon with the Dragon Ball series being incredibly iconic and influential. Many, many other works owe their existence to the Dragon Ball series and Toriyama's creative mind.

*Sigh*... Even after his passing, I'm sure his legacy will live on. His story is just too influential and fun to just be forgotten. I feel bad... I feel like I have more to say. I've got so many thoughts about this in my head, but I'm having a hard time getting them all typed down... I pray for strength for all of his friends, family and associates... May he rest in peace...

Well, I didn't get to see this reveal when it was new. It came on like at 10:00 in the morning over here. Most people are in school or at work at that time. I guess they weren't confident in their choice, and I can see why. THAT'S why they aired it at a time no one can really watch it! Just kidding :XD:

But seriously. Sora...? C'mon. Seriously...? Look, I wasn't expecting anything I would've wanted, but I was SURE they weren't going to add another swordfighter. And before you say it, I know he uses a key instead of a sword. But, let's face it. It functions like a sword, and it's called the Keyblade. *Sigh*. I tried to keep my expectations low, but I obviously didn't keep them low enough. Also, I am sorry for this entry for those who like Sora and seriously wanted him in the game. I just... *sigh*... So corporate...

Not to sound like a broken record, but now we've got SO MANY anime-looking swordfighters in the game... I was REALLY hoping that they would try to be innovative and choose a cartoonish character. Why did I believe they would do that? I dunno. And now, Square has 4 reps in the game... This WAY beyond breaks the rule from earlier about picking characters from unrepresented franchises. That ship actually sailed when they revealed Byleth, so I don't know why I was still holding them to this rule.

Another thing that bugs me about this is that Sora IS a Square character, but he's also basically a Disney character too... This disturbs me because I'm worried that one day, Disney is going to make off with Nintendo, like it has just about everything else... I'm already seeing signs of it, and it's frightening me. Whenever I see a Nintendo ad on a Disney channel, I shudder when I hear "The Nintendo Switch is a proud sponsor of The Disney Channel." It just freaks me out. I mean, they took over Marvel and Lucas Film and look what they've done to them... I don't want to speak it into existence, but I feel like Nintendo and Disney has something going on... I'm already seeing the signs...

Sorry about that. I didn't meant to make this about my gripes with Disney, but this seriously spooks me out. No wonder they revealed this in October! Again, just kidding.

Also, again, sorry if my opinion on the matter is bothersome to those who like Sora and Kingdom Hearts. I mean no disrespect. It's just, just like most of the previous choices, this feels like a VERY corporate decision.

Having said all of this, I would like Masahiro Sakurai to take a VERY LONG vacation. Like a year or two. Seriously. He needs to rest after all he's done. He's got to be exhausted! Also, I feel like it's necessary for me to mention that I throw no shade at him at all. It's Nintendo I'm having gripes with.

End of my long rant.

I know what you're thinking, I can't be satisfied. You're probably right... I mean, this character just seems like another Ryu, Ken and Terry. I'm most likely wrong about that, but, I dunno... I guess I was hoping for a more cartoonish character. It feels like they only pick characters who are recently relevant. So corporate.

Ah well. There's one more spot left, but I don't have my hopes up.

This is something I've wanted to do for a while now, but I couldn't find the words. So, this might be a bit raw. I don't swear, so I guess, not that raw.

People need to stop attacking people from the Asian community. This is unacceptable, disdainful and... any slew of deplorable words you can think of. I don't understand. How hard is it to TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED? It's not rocket science. Come on, now!

Also, I was watching the news this morning and I saw that we, African Americans are partaking in these terrible acts too. This is something I can't fathom! I mean, we, of all people know what it's like to be attacked for no reason, so, WHY WOULD WE TURN AROUND AND DO THAT TO OTHERS? Could someone explain that to me, please?! It makes no sense!!! Ugh! I just can't get my thoughts together. This is infuriating... We should be standing together, not partaking in this nonsense.

Also, don't let the tabloids fool you. The attack by that guy that was "just having a bad day", that's a HATE CRIME. The perpetrator should be persecuted as such. Don't let anyone tell you different.

To all Asians out there, just know that I and others are standing with you and we pray for strength for you and your loved ones... This needs to stop.

I did have more to say, but my emotions are getting in the way of my words. This is more of a rant than anything. I just had to say something.

Wow... I should've guessed... Yet ANOTHER sword fighter in Smash... I don't know why I always set myself up for such disappointment... I mean, I guess it's good we got another female, but... why always swords? Also, I'm happy for Xenoblade fans. So, I guess there's that.... I mean no offense.
